I’m also wondering how many of us gen xers with dysfunctional families went through a very sad microwave phase as kids because I also did and still associate any microwave cooking with giving up lol not lol

Good one. Favorite lines:

1. This new era of being pooped is a drag.

2. It was weird, holisitically.

Dear Beloved Tea,

Not that you need my input but personally I love the typos because it feels like you are giving us your unedited thoughts both with love and zero fucks for perfectionism. And the sense of spontaneity is so incredible because these posts feel like we are drinking from the source, you are opening up tap of your brilliance for us and holy shit if this is Tea on a rough draft let the writing—typos and all—inspire us all to find the unfiltered springs of our own brilliance too. Also, I love you.

I always sign off my subby with Enjoy the Typos because I am also trying to not try so hard. But yeah the re-read search for dopamine and then the typo sightings are rough. I love this post. I love all your posts typos and all, though I barely ever see a typo in yours so 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I loved all this! Typos bug me but not as much as people mispronouncing words this is a problem with my loved ones. I try to bite my tongue with non family members but to me it feels like a raggedy toenail you’ve just pulled a sock over. Also triggering to me is people (meaning my brothers) serving holiday meals on paper plates and putting the baking dishes right on the table instead of in attractive serving dishes - the whole holiday meal affair to them is nothing but passive aggressive rage - “here’s that slop you wanted now eat it go ahead.” Giant liter of coke on the table too. When they came to us they seemed confused by linen tablecloth, ironed napkins, carefully coordinated actual dishes.

The community college I attended in a desultory fashion for 18 months after HS had a whole vo-tech component. A century ago I was in the running to pitch a movie for the Spice Girls and my idea was they all attended the same vo-tech college and their vo tech skills were their super powers to save the world but as usual no one ever listens to me. Also hon sorry but it’s cosmetology . I love you!
